Announcement of the 1rst TDM school on Urban Computing 2019 - Big Data

The school Urban Computing 2019  (Cagliari, May 15-22, 2019) is the first of three training events on the trans-disciplinary field of Urban Computing, organized by the TDM project. During the three editions of the school, the discipline of Urban Informatics will be declined on the themes of Big Data (2019), Visual Computing (2020) and Smart Grids (2021), respectively.

The school entitled "Big data: acquisition, treatment and statistical methods of analysis" is structured in two modules: Introductory (in Italian) and Advanced (in English). Each module will include both frontal lessons (mornings), open to the public up to the available seats, and laboratory sessions (afternoons), reserved to 20 participants.

The school is aimed at students, professionals, employees of businesses and public administrations and citizens who want to deepen the issues of urban computing and co-develop solutions to improve the city.
